The killing of one David Imoh at Lekki Phase One area of Lagos state and last Friday’s killing of one Abdul Ganiyu at Auchi are cases of recent jungle justice that drew concerns to the menace.

Some youths in Benin city are condemning the act which they described as total disregard to the rule of law and human rights.

Abdul Ganiyu and another were alleged to have been involved in stealing in Auchi, Edo state where an irate mob beat Abdul Ganiyu to death and set fire on his body.

The public relations officer of Edo state police command Kontongs Bello while reiterating the position of the commissioner of police Abutu Yaro on zero tolerance to crime says the act of jungle justice was one that the Edo state police cannot condole and as such warned citizens to avoid taking laws into their hands.
