A family got a massive surprise when they found a gigantic 11-foot alligator in their swimming pool. Authorities said the gator tore through the family’s screen to get to the nice, cool water.
With the help of a specialized alligator trapper, police removed the beast from the premises and officials said it ended up weighing 550 pounds.
The incident wasn’t the only warning pool owners received about dangerous animals this week: A volunteer fire department in another state, Texas, told residents to check inside their pool noodles for rattlesnakes, which like to hide in the cool, dark spaces and advised to keep pool toys elevated or in a sealed container.
