Tonye Cole emerges winner of APC gubernatorial primary

A business mogul, Tonye Cole has emerged the winner of gubernatorial primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State.

The Fifty-five (55) years old was declared the winner of the Party, APC Governoship Primary haven scored the highest number of votes in the contest in the election.

Our correspondent gathered that from results made already to news men, it shows that Tonye scored 986 votes while Ojukaye Flag Amachree scored 190 votes. Others who were part of the contest are Sokonte Davies with 49 votes, Michael West 43 and Bernard Mikkio scored 2 votes.

However, one of the aspirant, Senator Magnus Abe had earlier withdraw from the Gubernatorial Primary.

He said his withdrawal is as a result of the process not being inclusive, fair and transparent.
