Tobi Amusan crowned 2022 Queen of tracks

The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) has crowned Nigeria’s track star Tobiloba Amusan as the African Queen of the track for the year 2022.

She is ahead of the 1500m world champion Faith Kipyegon (Kenya) and the 10,000m world champion Letesenbet Gidey (Ethiopia).

The Nigeria international raised the bar in the 100m hurdles at 12.12s record, retained her Diamond League crown, ad won two gold medals in her favourite stance at the Commonwealth Games and the African Championships.

Amusan also finished in 2nd place for the World Athletics Female Athlete of the Year award, behind American Sydney Mclaughlin.
