The Queen of Afrobeats, Tiwa Savage, has put a flame on her Instagram with photos–wearing Brazilian jersey, not only that but riding on a bike through the slum village in the heat of Brazil’s capital, Rio de Janeiro.
The 43-year-old Nigerian singer shared the love sign on her Instagram page.
“Took a ride to the favela, “te amo Brazil” ❤️”
According to Wikipedia, Favela is an umbrella name for several types of working-class neighborhoods in Brazil. The term, which means slum or ghetto, was first used in the Slum of Providência in the center of Rio de Janeiro
Last month, Savage joined Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and other artists, including South African opera singer Pretty Yende, to perform at the coronation ceremony of Britain’s King Charles III, who ascended the throne eight months ago following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The superstar will embark on a North American tour this summer, which was announced Monday (May 22).
