Governorship candidates that attend the security summit organized for all governorship candidates in Port-Harcourt Rivers State.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Sim Fubara was unavoidably absent during the peace and security summit organized for the governorship candidates in Rivers State.

The security summit was organized for all governorship candidates of all political parties owing to the historical antecedents of elections in Rivers State and the need to have violent-free elections in 2023.

Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Senator Magnus Abe, Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dawari George of the Action Alliance (AA), Beatrice Itubo of Labour Party, and other political parties were present at the summit to make a commitment and pledge to ensure peace before, during and after the 2023 general elections in Rivers State except the candidate of the PDP, Sim Fubara.

He was said to have boycotted the security submit and his party or media team is yet to give a press release on the boycott of the security submit.

The security submit will, however, according to experts lay a good foundation for violent-free elections come 2023.
