Rivers NSCDC discovers crude oil storage site at Aluu, Parades 16 suspects

An illegal raw crude oil storage site has been discovered by the Rivers State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, at Aluu, in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the State.

The State Commandant of the Corps, Michael Ogar, who led a team of officers and journalists to the premises where the illegal crude oil storage facility is, disclosed that the agency has apprehended about 16 suspects involved across the State.

Speaking shortly after inspecting the storage tanks, Ogar said the sixteen suspected oil thieves were arrested alongside cars and trucks loaded with adulterated gasoline and oil AGO.
