Despite the committee set up by the executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezewon Wike to assist the Rivers state Waste Management Agency ( RIWAMA) in tackling waste disposal in the city, wastes are still littered in some major part of the city.
N-Press Port-Harcourt observed that Tank roundabout where the state Government is recently constructing a flyover now have the highest waste disposal centre in the state.
It may interest you to know that a five man environmental sanitation committee was set up to tackle the menace of waste within Port-Harcourt and its environs after the resignation of the former RIWAMA boss, Felix Obuah to contest for gubernatorial Primary under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
But unfortunately, there’s still waste disposed indiscriminately in some major part of the city.
