Rivers Gov. has come under a heavy hammer

Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, has come under heavy hammer for claiming he is fighting for justice and equity in the PDP.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide said Wike has no moral standing to speak of equity when he was the one that intimidated Mr. Peter Obi out of the PDP Presidential contest which forced the former Anambra Governor to Decamp to the Labour Party.

In a statement Wednesday, which was sent to Npress, the Council berated Wike, saying he should bury his face in shame rather than make futile efforts to draw sympathy to his plight.

Wike and his allies, the G-5 Governors, are currently out of the Country where they will be deciding the Candidate to support ahead of the 2023 Elections.

In the statement, the National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike insisted that Wike is driven by his selfish interest.

Okwu, who berated the Rivers Governor for working against a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction, said Wike was now playing the ostrich.

According to him, “We want to tell Nigerians not to be deceived by the likes of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers, who claims to be fighting against injustice in the PDP whereas he is merely pursuing selfish interests.

“It is on record that Governor Wike scuttled the micro-zoning of the PDP Presidential ticket to the South-East because he felt he would bamboozle his way and get the ticket. But having failed to realize that selfish ambition, he turned be shouting for justice and equity.

“Where was the equity when he chased Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party out of PDP? Where was equity when he refused all entreaties to back someone from South East East for the PDP ticket? Now that he failed to clinch the ticket, he now realizes he is equity.”

They realize to warn the G-5 Governors that Wike is pursuing is a personal agenda and lacks integrity.

The Igbo youth President opined that whatever decision Wike and his allies finally make will be laced with personal desires and gains.
