The Grassroot development initiative GDI has rounded off its permanent voter’s cards sensitization program in a grand style at Opobo/Nkoro, the local government of the Rivers state Peoples Democratic party PDP governorship candidates, Sim Fubara, with the message, that the PVC is the only weapon Nigerians have to vote out bad governance.
It was a carnival of some sort as all the twenty-three local government Grassroot development initiative GDI executives, members, and guests gathered at the Opobo playground to round off the PVCs mobilization rally that started two months ago.
The opening of the program featured different kinds of entertainment
The Opobo/Nkoro executive council chairman, president general of the grassroots development initiative GDI, Bright Amewhule, and the Rivers State PDP governorship candidate Sim Fubara addressed the people.
Chris finebone, former Rivers state All progressives Congress APC Publicity secretary who recently defected to PDP; Awaji Abiante a federal lawmaker, and Bonny local government chairman all preached the message of PVCs collection.
After transversing the twenty three local government areas of Rivers state by the grassroots development initiative GDI to woo Rivers people on the need to get their permanent voter’s card, it is believed that the impact of the sensitization program will be felt during the forthcoming general elections.
