The Rivers’ government has demoted 14 principals of public schools after the institutions were delisted from its Senior School Certificate exam by West African Examination Council, WAEC.
The Commissioner for Education, Kaniye Ebeku also said the 21 affected private schools ran the risk of the withdrawal of their approval certificate.
Ebeku also emphasised that the State Government’s zero tolerance for examination malpractice, while necessary actions had been taken against the affected schools.
He further said all the schools involved had been notified.
Recall, that the West African Examination Council, WAEC, today announced the delisting of 35 Schools in Rivers State over issues burdering on Examination malpractice.
