The Ndi-Igbo community and the leaders of various Igbo traders in Rivers state have unanimously endorsed and adopted the all progressives congress (APC) governorship candidate, Tonye Cole as their preferred governorship candidate amongst those vying to occupy the brick house.
The leadership of Ndi-Igbo gave the endorsement during an interactive stakeholder meeting with the APC governorship candidate Tonye Cole in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.
The leadership of the various unions of Igbo traders and members of the Ndi-Igbo community in rivers state are gathered for interactive stakeholders meetings organized at the instance of the All Progressive Congress governorship candidate architect Tonye Cole and the party’s leadership.
Setting the ball rolling, the former minister of transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and the state APC chairman, Emeka Beke appealed to the people not to allow what played out on the February twenty-five election to deter them from coming out en masse to vote for Tonye Cole.
In their unanimous speeches, leaders of the groups adopted the candidature of the All Progressive Congress Tonye Cole whom they described as the game changer with lots of wealth of experience that will turn the fortunes of the state around.
Responding to the gesture by the Ndi Igbo
sociocultural group, Tonye Cole, promised to reposition the state for growth and development and to complete the permanent site of the automobile spare parts market started by Rotimi Amaechi’s administration but was abandoned by the present administration.
the APC standard bearer said identifying with the Igbos who are well-known for their entrepreneurship, independence and adventurous nature will put the state in good stead for growth.
