PHED official electrocuted in Calabar

A Yet- to- be identified official of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) has been electrocuted in Calabar, Cross Rivers State Capital.

The incident is said to have occurred in the early evening of Thursday 27 October at the entrance to Margaret Ekpo International Airport and opposite Airport Police Station.

This is coming less than a month after another official of the PHED was in the late hours of Wednesday 28 September 2022 at Army junction, a few meters from Eburutu Military Cantonment electrocuted to death on a high-tension pole.

What led to the recent tragedy at the time of filing this report can not be ascertained as mixed reactions continue to trail the recurring incidents.
