Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri has described the outcome of the just concluded Osun state governorship election as a beacon of hope for Nigerian democracy and PDP in the upcoming 2023 general elections.
Governor Diri spoke to journalists this Monday shortly after he arrived at the Bayelsa state International Airport from Osun state after a successful national assignment as chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council at the just concluded Osun Governorship poll.
The Bayelsa State Governor was received by his wife and some top government officials at the airport. Addressing journalists on the outcome of the just concluded Osun state Governorship election, Governor Diri commended the electoral umpire and security personnel for the demonstration of professionalism.
To the amazement of the Governor, a larger crowd of Bayelsans and PDP supporters had gathered at the Peace Park in Yenagoa, for a warm reception for the Governor which they said has made them proud.
The Bayelsa Chief Executive wants Nigerians and the PDP to unite and vote out the APC come 2023 for improved standards of living.
