The Rivers State Governor had commended the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, George Ariolu, for sustaining his initiative on infrastructure Development of the Council Area.
Governor Wike stated this when he commissioned a thirty rooms two story building named after him as “Chief Nyesom Wike Administrative Block” at the Council’s Headquarters Rumuodomaye, in Port Harcourt.
The thirty rooms two story building named after the Governor was initiated as part of activities to mark George Ariolu’s one hundred days in office as the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council.
The Governor who was represented by the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Desmond Akawor, described the building as a great asset to the people of Obio/Akpor.
Akawor said George Ariolu with this signature Project and many others being pursued is a testament to good performance.
The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, George Ariolu, said the initiative was to address issues of lack of office space and provision of a conducive working environment.
He said the Council would not rest on its oars in delivering people orientation policies and programs.
Ariolu also handed over three Sienna Buses to the three Divisional Police Stations, to help the Police in crime fighting within the Local Government Area.
