“Obey Supreme Court judgement extending old notes – Port Harcourt residents urge FG, CBN

Some Port Harcourt Residents have urged the federal government and the central bank of Nigeria CBN, to obey the supreme court judgment extending the usage of the old naira notes of one thousand, five hundred and two hundred naira to December thirty-first, twenty twenty-three.

They said Nigeria was a democratic nation and as such, the federal government can not afford to disobey the order of the Supreme Court

They say the manner of implementation of the naira notes redesign policy has brought untold hardships to the people

The federal government had only extended the usage of the old two hundred naira note.
