Nuadum Etukere Sponsors Methodist Church Diocesan Tournament

The lay president, Diocese of Bori, Methodist Church Nigeria, Nuadum Etukere, who is also the former Sii community development chairman (Sii-CDC) had promised to sponsor Methodist Diocesan football team to compete in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Etukere said this while giving his remark at the grand finale of the church football tournament between the Yeghe section and the cathedral circuit at the Wesley Cathedral Bori Field.

He said he’s using his God-given resources to promote the Kingdom of God which in a curb help in curbing youths restiveness in the area.

N-Press Port-Harcourt gathered that a total of One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira (120,000) was given to the winning team (Yeghe section) as cash prize by the Community leader who also promised to register the team to compete at the Nigeria Professional Football League level as a way of harnessing the potentiality of the youths.

He stressed that investment in youths is a way of curbing the challenges of the insecurity, cultism and many other social vices experienced in the society.

Cash prizes was also to the team that came second and third in the tournament.
