NSCDC arrests 11 suspects in Rivers for oil theft

Eleven suspected oil thieves have been nabbed alongside thousands of liters of adulterated gasoline oil AGO, trucks, cars, and a wooden boat in different parts of Rivers by NSCDC.

Briefing newsmen on the arrest at Ogbogoro jetty one of its exhibit yards in Port Harcourt, the NSCDC Rivers Commandant Bensong Ogar vowed that the resurgence of illegal oil refining activities in the state will be ruthlessly dealt with.

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC said the gradual resurgence of illegal oil crude activities in Rivers will not be taken lightly as the Command Commandant Besong Ogar gave insight on the arrest.

Bensong Ogar further explained that the Corps has advanced its intelligence to quell the nefarious activities of the bunkers.

The NSCDC Rivers boss hinted that the suspects will face the full wrath of the law, and the adulterated products will be forfeited to the federal government after a thorough investigation.
