Muslims in Port Harcourt celebrate Eid al-Fitr, pray for governor Wike

The Eid prayers for Muslims was to display gratefulness to Allah for blessing them with the month of Ramadan and giving them the ability to worship during the holy month which was a time for contemplation, reflection and celebration.

The prayer was also to show gratitude to Allah and bring a feelings of belonging and brotherhood amongst Muslims worldwide.

As Muslim faithful in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan, they used the occasion of this year’s Eid al-fitr to call on Nigerian electorate to choose wisely and vote leaders with proven integrity that will assuage the sufferings the people are going through come the 2023 general election.

the Eid al-Fitr celebration was also another opportunity to remind Muslims to reflect on the teachings of prophet Muhammad.

The Muslim faithful also offered prayers for the state governor Nyesom Wike and president Muhammadu Buhari.
