As the primary responsibility of every government is to protect lives and property of its citizenry, the Khana LGA chairman, Thomas Bariere, has visited a proposed site in Luawii Community to begin the construction of a police station to serve the needs of the local people, the move is to consolidate on the peace and sanity achieved since his assumption of office.
Thomas Bariere and his entourage which includes leaders of Luawii Community visited the proposed site for an on the spot assessment, mobilization and commencement of work.
Speaking during the visit, Bariere said the need to build a police station is born out of the fact that insecurity has bedeviled the entire community, knowing too well that the Bori police station is too far to address the challenges of cultism and armed robbery in Babbe district.
Our correspondent gathered that Luawii community has been a deserted land even till this moment, hope and confidence was yet to be restored following the activities of cultism and other related vices but with the commencement of a police station in the area and the assurance given by the chairman, things will turnaround for good for the people of Luawii community.
