Ken Saro Wiwa remembrance: “We want environmental degradation issue addressed” – Ogoni’s

In remembrance of the hanging of Ken saro wiwa and eight others in 1995, the people of Ogoni have called on the government of Nigeria to address the issue of Environmental degradation, political marginalization which they died for.

This was made known to journalists as they commemorates the international Day of indigenous peoples heroes 2022 in Bori Rivers state.

The killing of ken saro wiwa and eight others during the then military regime under the administration of Sani abacha still in the Memory of the people of Ogoni enthnic nationality.

The international Day of indigenous peoples heroes 2022 is a day set aside to remember the fallen heroes.

The people want the death of Ken saro wiwa and eight others not to go in vein, requesting for the realease of Ken saro wiwa bus that was confiscated in 2015.

The people embarked on a symbolic planting of mangrove trees to aid in the recovery of the polluted environment of Ogoni.
