The February 4 Nationwide mock accreditation exercise conducted by INEC in Six local government areas in Rivers has been described as hitch-free.
The electorate who participated during the exercise across the three senatorial districts is hopeful that the bi-modal voter’s accreditation system BVAS device will be effective on the actual election days.
The mock accreditation exercise aimed at testing the functionality of the bi-modal voter’s accreditation system BVAS device was held in two units each in the six selected local government areas of Rivers.
In most of the units visited by the AIT crew, the turnout of voters was impressive. They described the process as smooth and hitch-free.
The voters also want INEC to ensure that the process was a hitch on the actual election days.
Also, INEC’s National commissioner May Agbamuche Mbu who was on the ground to monitor the exercise expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the exercise
The one mock accreditation exercise in Rivers state was conducted in Ikwerre, Obio Akpor, Bonny, Opobo Nkoro, Asari Toru, and Gokana local government areas.
