Hoodlums destroy APC campaign facilities in Omuma LGA

Yet to be identified hoodlums on Monday, vandalised the venue of the Rivers APC campaign team in Omuma local government area, destroying everything in sight, including vehicles, canopies, musical instruments and other facilities.

The ugly incident which happened in the early hours of Monday morning, sent locals in the area scampering for safety as the incident was also greeted with sporadic gunshots.

Political violence in rivers state appears far from ending following Monday’s destruction of APC campaign facilities by political thugs in Omuma local government area.

Leader of the All-Progressives Congress in Omuma, Onyekachi Ojiegbe who was on ground when the hoodlums invaded the area, said they came into the arena with Hilux vehicles, shooting sporadically and vandalising everything in sight.

Some locals described the incident as unfortunate, stressing that they remain resolute in their quest to vote the PDP out of office.

This is the third time that the Rivers APC Governorship candidate, architect Tonye Cole’s campaign team has suffered attack before, during or after their campaign in the state.
