Groups organized coastal environmental monitoring report in Gokana

Health Of Mother Earth Foundation organized a coastal environmental monitoring, reporting and advocacy with selected coastal community folks at Kegbara community of Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Participants accused SHELL to be responsible for the suffering and pain in the land. That, there is no fish in water any more like before, farming products is no longer yields like before, health challenge and economic hardship caused by oil spill, gas flaring and destruction of ecosystem which give rise to high rate of mortality in Ogoni Communities.

Participants also seeking an empowerment support to rehabilitate critical stakeholders like the farmers and fishers to regain livelihood support.
