The residents of Elebele community in Bayelsa State have sent a save our souls message to the federal government, Bayelsa State government and oil multi national companies to come to their aid concerning the road connecting Elebbele and other adjoining communities in the eastern parts of the state.
Speaking to our correspondent at the scene, they lamented over the stress of accessing Yenagoa through Rivers State.
Despite the fact that the ravaging 2022 flood has started receding in some parts of Bayelsa State, the trauma and pains it has left behind is what Bayelsans will not forget in a hurry as they now speak about the damages that the flood has done to the road.
While commending Governor Douye Diri for his kind gesture towards the Elebele community, they also used the medium to appeal to the state government and other good spirited Nigerians for swift intervention concerning the road.
With all the difficulties that the people were going through in the state, Bayelsa State was not among the top ten, according to the minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Farouq.
