Fire destroys over 30 seized trucks with petrol at NSCDC dump site in Iriebe

Fire has destroyed over 30 trucks filled with petrol seized from oil bunkers at the dump site of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Iriebe, in Obio-Akpor.

An eyewitness said the fire started with an explosion and engulfed the parked vehicles in the yard. The eyewitness said over 30 seized trucks loaded with petroleum products were destroyed by the
fire.

Men of the fire service later arrived the scene. The cause of the fire is still unknown and it’s not clear if any casualty was recorded. When contacted, the new NSCDC spokesperson in the state said the agency will comment on the incident soon.
