FGN debunks claims of its non-presence in Rivers state

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola says is untrue that the Federal Government has no presence in Rivers State in terms of project implementation.

The Minister stated this when he visited the Bonny/Bodo Road Project being executed through the Federal Government Tax Credit Scheme.

The Minister’s visit to the thirty-eight kilometres Bonny/Bodo road project was to ascertain the progress of work done so far.

Impressed with the level of work, Fashola said the construction of the project is a clear indication of the Federal Government’s presence in Rivers State.

He said the road project is being funded through the Federal Government Tax Credit Scheme and will be delivered in December 2023.

The road which is about sixty-five per cent complete would be of immense benefit to the socio-economic growth of the State in particular, and the Nation in general.
