A suspected female gun runner, One Victoria Itila, has been arrested by men of Eagle net special squad in Delta state.
The suspected gun runner was nabbed when security operatives intercepted a Toyota Hiace bus during a stop and search duty along the Sapele-Benin express way. Six locally made double barrel guns found in her possession were recovered.
In another development, the police command Raider’s unit, arrested an eighty years old suspected cartridges dealer in kokori, Ethiope East local council area, and recovered one hundred and fourteen rounds of live cartridges from the Octogenarian.
And fifty one suspected cultists belonging to the Eiye confraternity were also arrested at the Big apple hotel in Oguwashi-Uku, while celebrating their anniversary. Two cut to size locally made guns and one expended cartridge were recovered from them.
Delta state commissioner of police Ari Mohammed in a press release issued, said all suspects arrested will be prosecuted once investigation is completed.
