A former member of the federal house of representatives, Hon. Dawari Ibietela George has emerged as the Governor Candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Rivers State.
Hon. George scooped all 93 Delegates vote in the Governorship substitution primary of the party to emerge as its candidate two days before INEC’s deadline.
Substitution primary was also conducted in seven local government areas for the rivers state house of assembly
The 93 delegates for the Substitution primary all stand behind Dawari Ibietela George to be counted as they unanimously voted him as their governorship Candidate for the 2023 governorship election.
Hon. George in his acceptance speech said he is coming with a wealth of experience having served in the local government management setup, and state and federal law maker.
He promised to be for Rivers people the bridge that they have yearned for over the years.
The former commissioner for energy and natural resources and federal lawmaker says his uprightness and commitment would be the platform for Rivers people to achieve their dreams.
National chairman of the party, Kenneth Udeze, expressed optimism that Dawari George would be the candidate to beat at the polls next year
The candidate was also in the church to dedicate his ticket to God almighty.
