Some churches under the aegis of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN obliged by the national directives of the Association have snagged demonstration in Port Harcourt over the brutal murder of a Christian sister, Deborah Samuel by some Muslim Fanatics at the Shehu Shagari Polytechnic, Sokoto.

The recent brutal murder of a female Christian, Deborah Samuel, a twenty two year old second year student of the Shehu Shagari Polytechnic in Sokoto State by some Islamic Fanatics which elicited condemnations from all quarters across the globe, has prompted the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria to observe a low key Nationwide protest in her honour to seek for religious tolerance amongst faiths in the country.
Some of the churches in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, observed a prayer session for the late Deborah Samuel.
The clerics called on the relevant authorities to quickly check religious intolerance as such acts may hinder the forth coming general elections in Nigeria, come twenty twenty-three.
You would recall that a fortnight ago a two hundred level Christian student of Shehu Shagari Polytechnic, Deborah Samuel who was accused of blasphemy by some Islamic Fanatics, was stoned to death and burnt to ashes.
