Following the Tuesday night kidnapping of one student of Arthur Jarvis University, in Cross River State, the Management of the institution has shut down the school indefinitely.
In a circular issued on Wednesday Morning by the University acting Registrar, Ughas Ngozi Felicia, directed parents and guardians to move our their children and wards from the University premises under twenty four hours.
The Circular said all the students who are undergoing examinations will continue from the yet to be known date in the next academic session, while final year who are to do their final defence will be communicated indue course.
“The Management has approved the commencement of the 2021/2022. vacation with effect from Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
“All students are hereby expected to vacate the University premises, the date of resumption for the new academic session will be communicated in due course.
“All outstanding examinations will be taken at the beginning of the next session. Final year students will be notified of the date/details of their Project Defence” the statement concluded.
