APC Rivers demand probe of police after violence at protest in Port Harcourt

APC Rivers has set up a seven-man-committee of inquiry to look into the event that rocked the party Secretariat at Woji road axis of GRA on Wednesday the 18th May 2022.

The said attack on peaceful protesters by the police according to an eye witness report, allegedly claimed the life of a man and several others who were injured.

But the Rivers State commissioners of police, Friday Ebuka, admitted that his men only shot into the air
to disperse the protesters but debunked the claim that someone lost his life; saying that his men were professionals in handling cases of the sort.
