Akwa Ibom school principal lauds NDDC for building staff quarters

Staff quarter in community Secondary Grammar School, Ebugho, in Mbo LGA of Akwa Ibom

The Principal of Community Secondary Grammar School, Ebugho, in Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom, Mr. Ime Harry Akpabio, has commended the NDDC, for building staff quarters in the school.

Akpabio, who spoke in an interview in his office, said that the staff quarters and other supporting facilities were handed over to the school in 2021, making it possible for more National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members to be engaged in the school for the benefit of the students.

The Principal remarked that before the NDDC intervention, the school was short of teachers, stating that the morale of staff was boosted with the provisions of living quarters and classrooms by the NDDC.

Akpabio said: “The School has over 30 youth corps members handling different courses from mathematics, sciences, and arts. Before now, the school hardly had teachers to handle the core subjects. But because of the good accommodation, they are jumping over themselves to serve in the school.”
