The Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG in charge of Zone five, has urged operatives of the Police force to put more efforts in the fight against the rising security challenges facing the country.
The AIG while decorating eighteen newly promoted senior officers in Benin City, Edo State, also tasked the officers to gear up towards providing a secure environment in the zone.
AIG Tanko Jimeta while decorating eighteen officers promoted to the ranks of Assistant superintendents of police and deputy superintendents of police says the vision of the police force, especially under the present Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, is to prioritise the welfare of personnel and reward hard work with promotions.
He urged the newly promoted officers and others in the zone to justify their ranks with hard work, professionalism and be security conscious while carrying out their duties
The promotees appreciated the Inspector General and the police management team for finding them worthy of elevation to higher ranks and promised to uphold the trust on them to carry out their duties professionally and diligently among those promoted were three female officers.
