4 dies in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

Four persons were reported to have lost their lives in a road accident Monday at Ogere axis, Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

According to a press release by the FRSC Ogun state Public Education Officer Superintendent Route Commander Florence Okpe, said the crash which involved a Toyota sienna and Howo Trailer occurred around 3 in the afternoon. Nine persons were involved in the crashed.

The five injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital Ogere for medical attention while the corpses were deposited at FOS IPARA MORGUE.

The statement stressed that the suspected cause of the crash was excessive speed which led to loss of control on the part of the sienna bus who collided with the truck when the truck driver was trying to reverse

The Sector Commander advised motorists to respect speed limit especially during rainy season when visibility is poor.
