The Muslim Ummah in Rivers State has unanimously endorsed the Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Senator Magnus Abe as their Sole Candidate for the 2023 Governorship election in the State.
The ringing endorsement was made on Tuesday at an impressively attended ceremony at the Tana Event Center, GRA, Port Harcourt, after Imams of different Mosques in the State took turns to speak glowingly of the cordial relationship Senator Magnus Abe has developed with the Muslim community in Rivers State over the years.
They recalled the various support Senator Abe has given to the Muslim community, including helping them secure the burial ground of their faithful from erosion, and support during the outbreak of COVID 19 among many others.
In addition, they stated that having surveyed all the other Candidates in the Governorship race in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Abe is the only one with the large-heartedness to enact a Government of inclusion for all.
They also stated that they have been listening to Senator Abe and they appreciate his plans to make Rivers State a truly Cosmopolitan State where everyone regardless of ethnicity, religion and race is given equal opportunity to prosper and live their lives more abundantly.
The Muslim Ummahs called on voters in Rivers State to elect Senator Magnus Abe as Governor of the State in March 2023 because he is the best Candidate in the race and deserves the support of all.
In his response, the SDP Governorship Candidate thanked the Muslim community in Rivers State for their show of support and vowed that when elected Governor in March 2023, he will be fair to all groups in the State.
